A wonderful honest example with a fantastic swept back shape. It has the saddle appearance, which we all love. This excellent pre-war NCO Schirmmütze Visor Cap was a high quality manufactured visor. It is fabricated in Luftwaffe grey blue wool, with wide black wool cap band, plus three rows of yellow-orange color piping for the flight branch (Waffenfarbe) around the circumference.
The peak visor cap retains a perfect, high quality, aluminum pin Luftwaffe droop-tail eagle with swas as well as centrally mounted aluminum oak leaves with cockade. Chin strap and buttons are still present and in excellent condition. The visor is a classic gloss pattern.
The body with its lemon-yellow piping is in excellent shape. The size 53 liner has the gold rayon interior with the celluloid moisture shield. Beneath the celluloid shield is silver maker name and logo for SIEGFRIED FRANK and 1938 date. The tan sweatband is in excellent condition.
This is an excellent totally honest Luftwaffe NCO peaked visor cap offered with a beautiful saddle-form shape and identified for a Flight Training Regiment. Hard to find a better one!
