“My greatest inspiration for putting this book together stems from my childhood. I was baptized in the Calvary gospel assembly church over thirty years ago at the age of nine years of age. From that very moment all I wanted to know if it was true”. Garfield Reid embarked on the journey Four years ago is when he decided that he wanted to write a book. Garfield came up with the name Misconceptions and Misinformation by the Black Hebrew Israelites volume I because he wanted Africans in the diaspora to get a better understanding of the theology of the biblical text. Garfield Reid is one of the premier scholars in the Conscious Community migrating to the United States from Jamaica peaked his curiosity even more to the point where he started to take historical bible courses in college. Garfield states “It was my heart’s desire to become a pastor, so I thought these classes were just what I needed to get closer to that dream”.
